Stayed here last year and genuinely haven't stopped thinking about this view. There's something about the way they've kept it so pared back — that Hampshire armchair from dusk just gives the same energy for a fraction of the price. Calm, considered, no faff.

Stayed here a couple of years ago and still think about this room. There's something about tufted headboards and that particular shade of sage green that just feels so considered — not trying too hard, but unmistakably luxurious. The button-tufted bed frame is the piece I'd build everything else around.

Stayed in a room like this at The PIG at Combe last year and genuinely didn't want to leave — there's something about exposed stone and proper oak beams that makes everywhere else feel a bit flat. That Harris Tweed loveseat is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here and I'm obsessed with it. Pulled together a version you can actually shop without booking a room.

Obsessed with this Ham Yard suite — it's that very particular Firmdale thing where everything clashes and somehow it's perfect. Found an upholstered arch headboard that gets surprisingly close, and that kilim stool is doing a lot of heavy lifting in a very good way. The whole look is more achievable than it has any right to be.

Ham Yard is one of those places that makes you feel like London is actually wonderful — which it is, obviously, but it takes a good courtyard to remind you. I'm obsessed with how they've done the outdoor dining here, that mix of proper sculptural drama with something almost bistro-casual in the chairs. The Parisian rattan ones I found are doing a lot of the same work for considerably less than a suite would set you back.
